There goes the neighbourhood

I'm a Brit, I have a swiss army knife. I could at best, whittle a sharp pokey stick given time...or thread a sail and remove a stone from a horse hoof, while gutting a fish!
Bears dont have hooves and aren't know to wait while people whittle.

:):):)

I'm a Brit, .

Thank f*ck for that :clap I had visions of a loud mouthed Yank turning up a the next windmill meet :D:hide God bless America :augie

When your settled in and have got your bike on the road you'll have to come trail riding with us

Believe me, the amount of tongue biting I've done while here is incredible.
"We are #1"
At what exactly?
They don't even have the courtesy to invent games they are crapulent at, like us Brits. Did you know an American team has won the World Series, every year and the World Champions of American Football (throwy-runny- catchy-ball) have also only ever been 'mericuns?

Good job they don't know what w*nkers and tw*ts are, otherwise I'd have been shot.

See you all soon, put the kettle on.
Who needs 286 variants on a cup of coffee???

Welcome Back

I'm with you man...opps I mean mate :augie

I got back from a spell in Washington DC a few years ago.....too many straight roads and not enough brew stops. I had a few good arguments about the world series.....world my A**e :blast

Welcome home

I've never seen flags so big either. Seems every secondhand car lot is run by an uber patriot. Ironic that the largest is flying over a dealership selling Jap cars!

Some of 'em are a bit daft and if you want to see patriotism and devotion to your state then you really need to visit Texas but on the whole you have to say that its an amazing place to go to . The riding and scenery is second to none, North America has have every type of landscape except for maybe a rain forest.

Welcome back to blighty Lamble , see you at the pub meet some time :thumb

I agree, the geography and geology are spectacular. The riding is amazing and on a one to one basis, muricans are fine too.
There's a rain forest on the Olympic Peninsula, Washington State...not far from where I currently reside.

Ooh just thought, a proper chippie, a decent curry, HP Sauce, Branston Pickle, bangers and mash, football with feet, savoury pies, travellers with the extra L, colour with a U, history, saucers, coast to coast in a day...magic!

Doh , forgot about Olympic NP:blast . I spent 3 weeks around Seattle area too.

What's on the tele this Christmas in the UK, Great Escape, Best of the Best of the Morcombe and Wise /Two Ronnies /Only Fools and Horses Christmas Specials, The Snowman, Long Way Round/Down?

I hear that in 2010 the daring duo are doing long way up. Buggers, this year was my chance to beat them somewhere, but I only got as far as Colombia when I got a call that made me fly back to Seattle, rather than ride down to TDF. Now those two will be gettin' in again. As they'd say here..."Dang nabit" whatever the ferk that means. :blast

Don't forget a trip to the Isle of man for the TT or MGP. not forgetting great roads and no speed limits. :clap:clap:clap:clap:clap

I hope when you make another trip you dont get to clostrophbic here coming from such a vast country.:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

Agoraphobia is what causes most problems here. Having said which, it was amazing to see and experience. They also have high highs and steep steep sheer edges. That was what freaked me out.

and "the wizard of oz!" bet it feels like you've never been away?

Like coming back from a long ride, to a favourite chair, or a loyal dog, or comfy slippers (I don't wear slippers-it's just a simile. Come to think of it I don't have a dog or fav chair either).

Don't forget the solid Manx Stone Walls that are inches from your head on some bends. and the 12' one at Handleys Corner which you head towards at great spped then think bugger I have to get around that quick left right before opening the throttle again.

or... even worse, when the acidic toxins from a manx kipper burp, permeate throughout a full face helmet, leaving your eyes streaming with tears and you can't see where you are heading at all. Delicious but deadly.
