It’s the only real cost I guess . Most people ignore it . All other costs are pretty well fixed .I have yet to buy a bike worrying about what it's worth when it comes to selling or is that the done thing these days.![]()

In case anyone was wondering, I asked Moonraker Motorcycles about service intervals and costs … this is their reply:

Just done the maths, 6214 miles between services is 10,000 km.

Negative , GhostRider.Have you got the bike yet ?
I’m off to Scarborough for a test ride next month, the dealer has Voge and CFmotoNegative , GhostRider.
It’ll no doubt pitch up next week , the day after I have surgery and I can’t ride it![]()
Nope . Operation on foot .I’m off to Scarborough for a test ride next month, the dealer has Voge and CFmoto
Medically speaking, nothing serious I hope.
I’m not so sure it’s that much of an issue.Depreciation on the Voge will be off a cliff
I suspect the current trend in KTM of giving you all the kit then withdrawing some a few months later unless you pay up is dead! What a brilliant value bike even fitting a dash cam as standard what a great idea, about time BMW and the others has something new to think about, and with quality running gear I reckon Voge won't be able to get enough of these.
I would definitely shortlist it if in the market - these 'brand names' such as BMW/KTM have been stiffing us for accessories and packs for too long, on what are already expensive products.
Tempting to try one but need to curb my buying for a bit!
A good point, my last two GSAs were a paragon of virtue. Whats that I hear you say? What about the corrosion on the engine casing? The rusty prop shaft? The terrible up and down auto gear shift? Rusty centre stand within 3 months of purchase? Failing final drive?......and more..... and you paid HOW MUCH?I’m a bit anti Chinese.
Having had a cf moto vehicle before that was shite. I’d tread very carefully before buying another.
What will they copy once they’ve put the big hitters out of business? You think they’ll spend on R&D like KTM / BMW?
Not a chance. You’ll be riding jerky, rusty bikes, festooned with twinkly lights and other 99p shop tat before you know it.
Chinese bike brands- There is a YouTuber with a CF Moto 800 (seems delighted with it) and he has been waiting months for a centre stand (not standard on his bike) orderer through his CF moto dealer. They have also been unable to tell him whether his key has a transponder in it (he wanted to get a copy) , the dealer again contracting CF moto and not getting an answer. Go with the established brands and you know you are unlikely to encounter that sort of situation. Of course, Voge could be totally different. You pays yet money....A good point, my last two GSAs were a paragon of virtue. Whats that I hear you say? What about the corrosion on the engine casing? The rusty prop shaft? So, the real question for me is that whilst we know some past BMW models have had some very questionable build quality issues....they have in the main sorted some of this stuff out with the warranty. So, having tested a Voge, I think its good enough to take out the 900GS in a road spec. for half the price.
What I don't know is whether the warranty is worth the paper it is written on. So for me, the wait is less about the quality and more about how dealers with cope when things go wrong. If the quite extensive network stand this test then I think established brands will have a problem.
That’s all true, but do you know the warranty on the Voge in the Benelux countries is 5 years.A good point, my last two GSAs were a paragon of virtue. Whats that I hear you say? They must have some faith in the system/dealers to offer that.

TrueBeing given a 5 year warranty is great - the test though is whether you are successful in claiming on it - as always only time will tell![]()

My KTM 1290 has a full 4 year warranty so clearly it will be trouble free![]()
