Voge DS900X

I think he’s talking bollox. Bit like when he said the NT1100 was a poor seller , having described the best selling sports tourer in Europe .

Loncin make 2,500,000 motorcycles a year . And 3,000,000 engines per year .

The Voge has the same frame , engine, wheels, suspension, brakes and electronics as the BMW F900GS.

Which part does R1200RT think will be unreliable?
How many NTs do you ever see on the road.

hardly any

You're back to your own very blinkered UK view....
Motorcycle sales in Europe are up 13%.....while dealerships close in the UK as bike sales fall.....

Huge interest in these at the NEC on Monday when I went and everyone i spoke to thought it looked a great bike at a great price.

Unless you really, really, really wanted a BMW, you would be a bit stupid not to consider this as an option.

All the Voge range looks pretty well put together as did the Kove bikes which sell really well apparently.

I'll definitely be looking at something like this when the S10 gets a bit big to push around.

Unfortunately there are some on here that are more than a bit stupid .
Seems to be a British biker trait . Vanity before sanity . Blinkered beyond belief .
Just look how bikers in the UK dismiss large scooters as being beneath them , yet they are all the rage in mainland Europe .
And some dismiss bikes like the NT1100 as being a poor seller because they don’t see one on their blinkered way to go get egg and chips at the local cafe .

Meanwhile the bike they deem a poor seller is the biggest selling sports tourer in Europe .

The forum that keeps delivering !!

You need to open your mind. You have a very blinkered way of looking at things.
Do you only ever ride BMW’s ?
Whilst the designs of BMW are great, we all know the quality isn’t so good nowadays.
That’s why I walked away from them. I’m glad I did. It opened up a whole world of different possibilities and experiences.
For instance, I took an ADV 350 round Europe, for me, it was a better seat than I’ve had on any beemer.
Other brands are just as good as bmw nowadays. Soon, it will be BMW’s that we will be calling ‘shit’ , some more enlightened folk already do.

Whats the international dealership warranty and recovery support like?

We were looking at them yesterday at the show. As you say they do look pretty well made and specd up. The Kove also look pretty well made and are probably a very good trail bike.
When my S10 was getting a bit old I bought a Rally Pro 900. Had the Voge been around I just might have gone that way.
My brother had gone to look at the new GSA, he wasn’t impressed so that’s off the list at the moment.
Honda had a good stand but the wing was conspicuous by its absence.

The warranty will be the issue I'm betting.

I'm not hell bent against Chinese bikes. But I've had a Chinese vehicle before, and the warranty was worthless, and parts supply even worse. Especially on a popular model.

Taking broken engine castings to machine shops and trying to find someone to repair (porous) aluminium is no fun.

If they've got this right then fair enough. But I will be watching and not jumping in personally for a few years yet.

Perhaps there was no wing because there’s no significant changes this year.

Perhaps, but there was new the version of my Rally pro on the triumph stand and it has no huge changes. The BMW version of the wing was there and seemed to be drawing quite a bit interest. The Indian version was also there, we didn’t look on the Harley stand.

Loncin, who make the Voge make 3.5 million engines a year , many of those for BMW.

By your reckoning , many GS owners will also have to take their engine castings to machine shops if one of the biggest engine manufacturers in the world somehow have no spares .

My missus also cooks amazing food at dinner parties, but average evening meal is shit, same chef.

yes, modern BMWs are overpriced and not overly reliable

better off with a Japanese bike really

no blinkers here

yes i do own/ride a BMW

i wouldnt get another though, too pricey to run outside of warranty period

plus everyone has got one

NT110 is much better

Maybe YOU don’t see many NTs but there are a good number around particularly on mainland Europe.
Personally I think the looks are a bit bland so perhaps they’re not particularly noticeable.

I think you’re right. That’s a good thing possibly. How often do you notice bikes for the wrong reason ?
Mad overtakes, inappropriate speed, bad positioning etc.
I know, usually GS riders 😀
the less I’m noticed for my riding, the better.
