What Kind of a Twat Buys a New Bike in November?

Front mudguard extender and hugger spring to mind.

Also need to play with the windscreen a bit since the buffeting was unreal on the M5, although that could have been due to the excessive winds today creating loads of crosswind.

.......shortly followed by some form of engine guards or crash bars.

Me!

84 miles in the wind and rain.

Hehehehehehehehehehehe!:D

Bloody marvellous.

December can have great riding weather, cool dry sunny days. Most peeps dont appreciate winter riding and lock the bikes away October till April, I rarely see more than a couple of bikes on the M5 in the winter.
Remember there's no such thing as " the wrong weather" for biking,....... just "the wrong clothing"

Welcome along fellow Bristler :thumb

Shame you didn’t come along for our ride over to Abergavenny today. We nearly got blown off the Severn Bridge…before they closed it to bikes.

I bought my current bike in November - good deals to be had, deals which dry up much after Xmas when the 1st March fools move in.

I'm (still) looking for an Enduro bike, and so really hope that I'll find one in November, or December.

I do ride less in the shitty months, but certainly don't stop alltogether; there're just fewer occasions when the bike is appropriate when you are going to turn up with a light sheen of cack all over you, and the days when a quick blast looks appealing get limited when it turns dark at 3 o'clock.

You want to watch out for that bridge! Handy though it is :D

Oh yeah and watch out for the Chepstow stealth speed camera gestapo :blast

PS ditch the screen

Congrats. What did you get ? GS/GSA/Year ?
Did the same, ordered in October of 2007 and received mid-febr. 2008 ! But who cares, since this is the ultimate juggernaut. :D

Congrats from me too, I bought mine 4 weeks ago and have driven it every day since. I think its rained just about every day as well but never mind. Couldn't think of a better bike to be out in the wind and rain on other than getting muddy legs!

Well done I've just bought one today and hopefully get it on Friday. I just hope the suns splitting the pavements when I pick it up:rolleyes:
