must be something 'special' cause my bike don't have em... have you traced the wire back to see where its connected? (if at all)

The only 'loose wires' under the seat of my bike sre whats left over from the alarm when I had it removed. and they look nothing like those.
One is for the CO pot. I think the other is for the USA market .
Computer connection thingies, don't worry about it, just tuck them away from the wet. I think these were on the export to USA version. Mine has a smaller one that clips into a clamp under the rear seat.

ahh.. so thats what it is... i thought it was part of the old alarm system. I've left it alone (glad I did now)
me gs wont fit in me flat plus the lead is too short to plug in
trying to get mine to play the national anthem like those cleaver guys at mclaren on top gear

I'm finishing off the fit of my 2nd hand loom but there's been a gap of about 3 weeks in between working on it, so I was scratching my head wondering if I'd missed a trick with these. They connect into the loom around the battery area.
I'll just tape them up...

One is for an option for california which is an air bleed system connected thru the throttle balance take offs the other I think is for authorities use possibly a foglamp
For the last time - One is for a CO pot. Later bikes have a lambda but the plug remains on the loom.
The other is for the american market, emissions, charcoal canister.

So is the CO Potentiometer necessary on an 1100 with Y piece and Remus?
I went to have my TPS setup by the local ind BMW guys and they spotted this was missing on mine (oops....left it on the old/outgoing loom), they said they need it to set the bike up properly?
Yes stil required on a non Lamda sensor bike it is what controls the mixture at idle!
Needs set up too, CO reading of 1.75 to 2.2% according to my old foreman

Thats where the warp drive plugs into but only on models designated for Starfleet Acadamy, (thta is classiifed imformation so don't tell anyone.

CO pot for one of them and a solenoid valve for the charcoal canister - is it a US bike?

My '99 1100GS is a German import - with a CAT - and I have these two connectors - but no CO pot - anyone else with an Import, or know why the pot isn't fitted to this model?

If you have a cat fitted you must have a lambda sensor. Which does away with a CO pot.

Here is a picture of the lambda probe when it was still fitted to my original german import exhaust. As you can see it's situated just before the exhaust connects to the down pipes. The black wire connects to the loom.
I managed to acquire a zero mile UK spec exhaust and followed Steptoes advice and simply unplugged the Lamba from the loom - the bike has been transformed and now runs exceptionally well - with at least a 200 mile tank range. Whereas before it was around 140 miles to the warning light being continuous.
