Who's ordered one then?

Flatcoat

New R1200gs 5 years in development but it will still take joe public to break it
!
Give it another 2 or 3 years to iron out the faults then it will be agood bike.:blast

That,ll be me then:D
never owned anything brand new in my life I've worked hard for it it's my last bike so feck it I'm having it
:flag

All of you should buy the new bike. It's looks fabulous and well worth however much of your money it costs.
Then the used market will be flooded with bargain price recent model cast-offs. If they're really cheap, I might even upgrade to a twin cam, although I don't really need to.
I think some Ancient Greek philosopher said "the secret of happiness is not in having a new watercooled R1250GS, but in not wanting one", although I am not sure he used those exact words

72 GSs for sale and that's just a quick peek at the ads this is going to hit the residuals hard .

soon will be a great time to buy a second hand 1200GS :beerjug:

not so good for those selling though:eek

I might buy some of your spots to put on as well , they are looking pretty good

I dont see the point in buying a w/c for myself. When I bought my 2011 GSA, I wanted it to be my ultimate bike so I added the premium and dynamic packs and bought the full BM luggage. I have added a few other items such as Sargent seat, ally tool box and headlight protector. It does everything (and more) than I need it to do, has a lot of charecter and is very enjoyable to ride.

So why change, and in the process lose a lot of money in depreciation?:nenau

+ 1:beerjug:

Been offered a very good deal on a super 10 I might think about. But have a 650cc liability I have to get shut of first.

Paid my deposit today, I like the look of the bike and the new engine spec looks spot on.

All this talk of the new WC1200, so who on here has actually put a deposit down on one?:augie

Question to all who have paid a deposit. What is the price of the bike & can you get a refund if its more expensive than expected? I would not want to order a new bike without first knowing the price :blagblah

I have - BMW announced Tuesday October 2; on Wednesday October 3 I got my deposit down to be first in line at Gulf Coast BMW in South Houston, Texas, USA.

The order build sheets and pricing aren't available yet, but I'm sure that this bike will be priced in order with the rest of the market/BMW lineup and will the cat's nuts.

I'm keeping my 2000 R1150GS, original owner w/ 24,000 miles, as the market thinks so very little of it compared to my perception of its value.

I'm tempted, but I think I'd like a test ride.

Not quite sure why as I said never again having owned a 2004 "experimental" 1200gs!
