I'm going with cast, TE spec with alarm. I've got spoke on my 07 GS but don't see the need and the new cast design is really nice.

I'll keep the ZEGA boxes and just switch sides. if TT don't get the new frames out pronto I'll make my own S/Steel ones.

I've ordered spokes, but do quite like the look of the cast wheels. All my 1200 GS's I've owned have had spokes, so I may switch to cast before the bike goes into build, just to have a change. It depends on costs, and how much money I can find down the back of the sofa when the time comes.

The adjustment mechanism works very easily (it's a cleverly designed feature)and gives you the opportunity to remove your hand from the throttle to turn the adjusting wheel ( but I kept the engine going with my broom, broooom, blat blaaaat), explain that one Mr BMW???

It's to get you to buy the Cruise Control option.

I was there today and have to say I was impressed. But I'm in no hurry to change; will wait and see what the GSA version is like.

Not me .The single seat Rallaye was nice but the switch gear felt cheap , loads of plastic which looked cheap . Liked the easy change windscreen but next to the GSA in Sandrover I was underwhelmed . Best Bike on their stand was the E Scooter ,Saved myself £5000 I reckon If you like it I'm sure you will enjoy it . Not for me though , and I normally upgrade every 2 years . Will wait for the GSA though

Went to the show on Saturday and the bike looks great not one thing that I don't like about it - I have ordered a red one, but the white looks great too, hmmmmmmm... a dilemma need to see them both in daylight to be sure which looks best - strange how most of BMW marketing literature shows the red one.

Not really a dilemma as colour is so easy to change. Just a couple of panels to respray. Choose yer colour and fill yer boots.

I was at the show on sat thought the new GS was ok didn't blow me away though,I was surprised the alloys looked quite nice think I prefer a black engine though, maybe by the time I change my twin cam there will be the adventure with a black engine.

There's an absolute shed load of option combinations on the base model that I'm trying to get my head round. I can post them all if you want.

Cheers TJ, if its not too much hassle to put all of the options and prices on, it would be good to know.

When will the accessories prices be announced do you think? Stuff like engine bars, Akro exhaust etc.

Looks like the Touring has just about everything at not much more than I paid for my Triple Black in May 2011. Almost all of the bikes at Intermot had engine bars fitted - are they listed as an option yet?
