First thing I'll mention is that the connection to my PC is fine, but that I have that hard-wired, meaning it doesn't use the Wi-Fi.
I'm with TalkTalk, the router has the following lights lit: Power, ADSL, Internet, and LAN1, they are all green, the Internet and LAN1 ones blink randomly every few seconds. WLAN, WPS and LAN2 are unlit.
Neither of the two little icons that normally appear right at the top left hand side of the iPad screen are present- I mean the little rotating spoked wheel and the fan with three little arcs (showing the signal strength??)
When I go to Settings > Wi-Fi, it says next to it "Not Connected", I click on that and the Wi-Fi panel opens with switch that selects ON/OFF, that is set to ON. Below that is "Choose a Network..." with the little wheel that goes around appearing every 8 seconds, stays visible for 4 seconds, and then off again for another 8. In the panel below it says "Other >", when I press on that it opens a panel labelled Other Network, I need to enter the name of the chosen network (TalkTalk-****** in my case) and in another panel below that it says "Security", "None" has been selected and this can be clicked on to select either WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPA Enterprise and WPA2 Enterprise.
When I enter my network name (as given on the back of the router) and the press "Join" it tells me that "Could not find network TalkTalk-******
It seems that I'm fucked.
Please can you help.
PS I also tried resetting the iPad by holding the Off button on the edge for a few seconds followed selecting the Power Off on-screen switch, and then switching on again, that didn't help either.
