Ride it, fix it when it breaks, then ride it some more.

Don't stress yerself about it Donny

Ask yerself how many GS's have been sold & how many have had problems. It's a very small percentage

Besides which, breakdowns are character building

Thanks all, much appreciated. Cannot wait, have a gent coming round tomorrow morning to buy my Harley Davidson Fatboy and heading straight to the BMW dealership with the cash. Unfortunately I have been told that they need a week to put it through the workshop so should be able to collect it back end of next week.

still a great bike

I have had my fair share of warranty issues with my first 12GS, but I still went out and bought a 2nd 12 GS to replced my totalled 1st version. Had the 07 2 weeks before the front brakes failed just before the recal came out.
I ahve poste dall of these issues on here previously and despite the downtime, i would still go out and buy another 12GS, it's a stonking bike for almost everything.

I won't feel bad about posting problems I have had, but in the same ligth I am not going to change bike
