I originally read it as the group were B+B guests, not the owners - I understand where you are both coming from now

English breaksfast are fine by me. I much prefer to have them served by a Scottish type person when I'm in a BnB in Scotland though.

Same as if I went to say: the Lake District. I'd rather it be ran by a local punter
