So there I was cruising Canada's very beautiful Klondike Highway this week and my GSA clocked over 50,000 miles....

Sgt Bilco has a year older bike on 77k this week and I was chatting with a fella from Alabama a couple of nights ago with a similarly aged bike to mine with 83k miles on it

So in nearly 5 years of ownership and riding on 3 continents, it's been absolutely wonderful to own. What's gone wrong in that time, standard stuff really, but it got fixed thanks to the great folks at Motorrad Central East outside Edinburgh, leaving me plenty of time to ride (they even wash the bike twice a year you know....:P)

For all of you doomsday merchants and nay-sayers, you're fortunate to be living in a generation of one of the finest bikes ever made, so just ride it like you stole it....:beerjug: .....I am and loving it....:D

Right I'm off, I'm riding South through Canada in the morning and I need my beauty sleep....:thumb

Great going - are they all your miles? I particularly like the 'check your oil' sticker as I've just put 1 litre in over the last 1500 miles of (admittedly hard riding) touring a a week!

68k on mine - it seems to just keep getting better and I seem to get less and less interested in new bikes :thumb2

Great way for you to reach 50k - I'm only a tad jealous :D

PS - you get extra points for taking the photo at speed!
