Having just had the 6000 mile service done after returning back home from a holiday from the south of france-i can say the GS1200 is superb,however-
Since the service the bike has developed an annoying fault with the brakes, when the ignition is switched on and it goes through its checks before i fire it up there is a loud whine from the brake servo?
When you fire it up this does not clear even when riding it,and the red BRAKE FAILURE light is continously flashing along with the red triangle showing.
I can then stop the bike, switch the ignition off and on again and this can clear!
Although the brakes work throughout- this problem is coming and going whether in the wet or dry and is beginning to get on my thrupenny bits-has anyone else suffered the same with theirs??

Is the hand-guard partially activating the front brake lever?
I think that may cause the problems you describe.
('cos that means you dropped it in France :D )

If one of the brake switches is activated (open circuit) when the bike is switched on, you will get a rapidly flashing warning light, but you shouldn't hear the servos running, as they don't even reach the initialisation stage.

I'd definitely refer this to the dealer, that's what the warranty is for.

Ha,ha-bike thankfully stayed on 2 wheels in fantastic france, the handguard is not snagging the brake lever either!
This must be an isolated fault then-bugger!?
