Build time....

I'm sure you're right, the photo's can be deceptive. Looks like it's going to turn out a fantastic bike👍
Well after your observations I decided to remake it. I wasn't 100% sure on strength and I dont want to be messing about again after it is fitted.

I got it temporarily bolted up and had to get it out for a quick look how it sits before i tig weld it on. It's the first time it's off the ramp since I got it. Looking fairly good i think 🙂

Looks purposeful…..
Not sure I’d want it, but then again it’s your bike, so should be done how YOU want it !

Keep us updated on progress….

That mount looks ‘right’ now👍

Bracket now tigged on. Shallow run to start and then 2 runs over the top.
Actually welded quite nice considering its cast aluminium.

Next job today was to sort out the rear brake. Wanted to keep the rear foot peg hanger so I cut and added a piece into it so I could attach the master cylinder.
Then added a section onto the rear brake leaver for the pushrod.

Its bit like this that take a lot of time.

Impressive work! 👍

Done a few more bits. Dash panel made up from Aluminium sheet and bracket for the hid module that runs the touratech light. The front indicators are now mounted.
This panel can be powdercoated black when I do the rest of the bike.
Ignition is in the same panel.
There is enough room left for a sat nav or a roadbook 🙂

I think it looks great, wish I had the skills. Keep it coming please.

As for colour I’d go a nice dark blue metallic.

Battery box fitted.
Some lugs welded onto the subframe for the shock reservoir.

Rear Indicators fitted....

New front brake disc and bled all the brakes today. Everything works well.

Next job was the main stand. It was way too short with the taller suspension and longer swing arm/18"wheel.
Cut the bottom off the legs and added in 2.5 inches.
It still not actually quite long enough even adding that amount.

Onto the wiring next.

Gave up on trying to fit the original seat as it just wasn't working with the tank.
Started making up my own carbon seat pan today.
Will have to leave it overnight now to dry before I can trim it all to shape.

Any ideas who can do the upholstery for a new seat foam and cover please ?
Or where i can get motorcycle seat foam so I can make my own seat ready to be covered ?
Thanks
