EWS RECALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just like to clarify what happened at NOG ref the new EWS. Simon (Parts Guy) and I attempted to temporarily fit the new one to get me home. We disconnected the old EWS and connect the new one with the intention of securing the new one with zip ties alongside the old one. Apparently this should work, but when the ignition was switched on, after the system going through its checks, the EWS warning flashed up with no reaction when pressing the starter button.

So the conclusion I have is that either we didn`t do something right or the new one was faulty. Simon did say that they had replaced many of the old EWS modules and hadn`t heard of any problems with the new one. My bike will be looked at on monday and hopefully back on the road soon.

Got bike back this morning (thanks NOG) apparently the EWS I temporarily fitted wasn`t close enough to the key, it has to be literally be right next to it.
