Take back your country ? From who ? The UK already left the EU . . . . . . who are you blaming now and for what ?The whole of Ireland has been closed down now, all ports apparently closed and the public seem to be onbaord with the protestors, hopefully the UK and Europe will follow, the people need to take back their countries.
And take back to where? The stone age as a DIY project, instead of waiting for Trump.Take back your country ? From who ? The UK already left the EU . . . . . . who are you blaming now and for what ?
If you do not know, then you are fucked.Take back your country ? From who ? The UK already left the EU . . . . . . who are you blaming now and for what ?
Wherever they are going it’s not by the Royal NavyAnd take back to where? The stone age as a DIY project, instead of waiting for Trump.
That place you call freedom is called the EU.If you do not know, then you are fucked.
Best you adhere to the rules of the EU and watch as your freedoms depart your life.
Personally, I don`t give a fuck about any of it, as I live in a place that has freedom and shall always have that freedom, I am with people who ensure it will be so, if not, we will die defending those freedoms and we shall have fun doing so....That is all you can do as you try and protect your way of life.
My way of life is alien to most....Those who enter these parts have to be well intentioned, or they will become pig food, it really is that simple.
Blame has fuck all to do with any of it, blame will always be a distraction for the terminally stupid.
Or the Irish NavyWherever they are going it’s not by the Royal Navy![]()

Indulging in violence ? Take your medication. The protesters moved out last night with no violence by either side. The Guards are indulging in violence towards their own people and the Military are doing the same.
The line has been drawn.
Sad day for Ireland.
Are you not living in the EU or have you now moved from Portugal back to the UK?If you do not know, then you are fucked.

As always, there’s no such thing as free. It’s just paid for by taxpayers and not those whose it.Free public transport makes a lot of sense. Public transport in Ireland runs at a loss so it wouldn’t be a huge expense. Public companies make a profit BUT only run on lucrative routes where they are mostly full. JJH
Really !Indulging in violence ? Take your medication. The protesters moved out last night with no violence by either side.
You are of course correct. It’s already mostly paid for by the taxpayer so it wouldn’t be such a big jump to completely finance it. Yes there are arguments for and against but it seems to work in other countries. JJHAs always, there’s no such thing as free. It’s just paid for by taxpayers and not those whose it.
Really !
There are plenty of video from camera phones that say otherwise
Thanks,There is & there isn't. Trump's Iran adventure pushed up fuel prices globally. A lot of jumping up & down by various interest groups, e.g. hauliers & farmers, resulted in the government cutting the "tax" take temporarily. The political opposition wailed it was enough, opposition does not have to say what might be enough or to promulgate any positive proposal; they whip up discontent. In the unlikely event that fuel was free outrage would still be orchestrated.
The government have & continue to talk to the official vested interest groups. However informal protest groups formed over last weekend via various social media platforms. These ad hoc groups were initially haulage & agricultural operatives - unhappy with established representation - who instituted go slow convoys last Tuesday & caused a degree of disruption. Pleased with themselves they went on the airways demanding lots of things, such as a price cap on diesel & a ministerial meeting.
Each such group had its own "leadership" - for want of a better word - & each spokesperson had a different slant on their demand. Meanwhile the minister(s) did not wish to open back door "negotiations" to the chagrin of the more long established "official" groups.
To a degree the county was getting on with the inconvenience. The police took a softly softly profile, believing things would loose momentum. the original ad hoc groups lost control of their own trajectory & attracted a lot of hanger on types with their own covert agendas - mostly right wing "nationalists", stirred on by such as Tommy Robinson & his Irish equivalents. They were not happy with "go slow" type carry on & instituted refinery & oil depot blockades.
Social media is replete with cheer leaders for the resultant mayhem. Fuel stations are running out of fuel & to quote Captain Boyle (Juno & the Paycock) things are "in a state o' chassis".
I was planning a wee trip on my bike over the weekend but that is on hold because there is no fuel in Ireland but there is fuel in Ireland.
That is my honest "take" others may have a different view.
Put the prices to their customers up. Everyone is in the same boat. Ryanair would have no issue slapping a “fuel surcharge” on the bill.As an example from the news stories this morning on the Irish protests; the farmers and hauliers explained; the cost of fuel has stopped them operating at a profit or reduced their profit margin, this means they can’t afford to operate their farm machinery / Lorry’s as it’s not economically viable, but they still have to find the money to cover the loans that the machinery was bought with. This means they are not producing food, or moving goods, crops could spoil, food shortages and price rises follow. Worst case they lose the machinery and go out of business.
In the UK this is probably what the Gov want to happen so they can buy the land at a knock down price and put a solar farm on it. That will get them more votes from the lefties and vegans who don’t actually realise that their vegan diet relies on farmers producing crops.
Maybe more tax does reduce the country’s debt I don’t knowbut for the average person it is increasing their debt.
