I have a spare FPC can I just change and go or does it need to be programmed to the ECU?

I just changed and went. No problems. I used the old controller connector to make a bypass for next time.

I'm about to order a new one from my main dealer. They said it's the latest updated unit!!
£100 plus vat so I hope it lasts longer than the last one.

Yep I've had 2..both circa 50 quid, second under my seat as a spare
