Bought one of these things but you don't get the Mapsource File and Waypoint manager with it.
Can I download it anywhere or do I need to buy it? :nenau

I have a load of Landranger maps I want to put on it.

It's the Venture CX if that makes much difference.

Hi, I use 'memory map' on mine which is the OS maps in software format that can be uploaded to the unit, you can also plot waypoints and routes on the maps and upload them. Garmin also do there own Typo aswell, but I've only used and seen MM in use.

How do you upload the memory map files?
Do you just copy the .qct files to the micro sd card?

i dont think you can upload the memory map 'maps' (ie the OS ones) to the etrex. It will only work with Garmin maps.

You can use Memory map to create routes / tracks and upload those, but it wont show the OS map.

If you need to see os mapping from memory map, you would need a PDA type GPS, or the roadangel Navigator 7000 adventure (think thats waht its called)
