So I went to NOG to change a pair of gloves over and was smitten with the new. GSA.

I've had an. 1150 adv followed by a 1200adv so it's only natural I should want another one right ? :D

I currently have a K1200GT and they have offered £6k as a part ex which is. £1000 more than I paid for it

I looked into the BMW select finance option over 3 years and it all seemed quite reasonable. Was wondering if anyone else has gone down this route as they say 40% of all sales are now going this route.

Example I was given was £6k deposit (my bike) and 8000 miles a year which is more than I normally do and about. £200 a month over three years with a minimum guaranteed final value of £7500.

I asked.... What if I only do 5k a year and the bike is worth more at the end? Do I pay more to own it? ... Answer was no!

I asked.... If you say its worth £7500 but due to less miles being covered the bike is worth more will I still get £7500 as a trade in on another new one or will you allow more? He said more

So from what I understand from all this is if you over estimate your mileage the final value is reduced meaning you get the bike cheaper at the end but still get the higher price if you trade in against a new one again. It seems a reasonable deal to me.

So I was wondering if anyone else has gone down this route and was told the same?

So it comes down to what çolour???:D

Where's his prose, missed it (seen it now)

Been in Scotland's Highlands for a few days

Surprisingly the bike I saw most up there was the F8GS - must have seen about 20 of them

This will also up your monthly payment as that's based on ((list-gfv)/months)*interest where gfv will be lower with more potential miles on it.

Wait a year for some nice grey/black scheme to come along when they realise all the jessies have bought the launch colours.

Are you sure you saw 20 F8GSs ?

Could have been just the one - ie Micky, dashing about like a mad thing

I picked up mine from NOG last week and also bought my previous GSA from them. Similar plan to yours. Olive is the future!

Olive is growing on me :D Nice looking bike :beerjug:

Test ride tomorrow then a sit down to work out some options etc.

I wish they did a red one :(:(

Id check the interest out on your pcp. It can be about £2500 over the 3 years.

For arguments sake if bike was only worth 7.5 k at the end, 3 years biking would have cost you approx £367 a month taking into account the deposit, with nothing to show at the end.

Try a 10k (guessing here) loan over 60 months to supplement your px (eg sainsburys bank online) . £186 per month payments after px and only £230 pounds a year interest on the loan. Get to end of year 3 and want to swap you will owe 24 months on the loan so about 4.5k.

In your example the total price tots up to about 20k.

That's exactly what I'm going to do tomorrow. Work out totals compared to financing it myself.

Zoopa loans at. 6% and BMW at. 12.5%.

When I sorted my bike last year I managed to get the finance down to 7% on the pcp with bmw so might be worth haggling down although it's not as cheap as the 5% your talking about the figures stacked up for me as I got cash back from my px. Hope this helps.

Good advice

60 months, full payout will always be cheaper than 3 years with a balloon, in terms of total interest paid

But you'll have to think for yourself and not believe all the dealer tells you:blast
