Hello again alll northern ukgser's.
Thanks for the posts of concern.

As you were aware i had an accident on the blackbird and i'm now recovering:beerjug:.

Anyway after deciding on whether to buy another 1200 adventure i thought i would pop into Cooper at Sunderland today. After being ignored and giving plenty of standing around in the shop, i still did not get any attention from the staff.

So i have decided to buy a 1200 adventure but the servive i got from them today was quite poor, and if i can remember, the last 2 times i went in they were the same:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Has anybody got any dealings with any other dealers? i dealt with BVM and found the salesman to be very informative and helpful. BVM are thes most likely to get my hard earned money this year unless anybody else has any other good dealers?

Welcome back:beerjug:

As for buying a 1200GSA, the interweb is your friend;)

Good to hear from you again :thumb2

I find the direct approach works at Mill/Cooper: "Anyone want to sell me a bike?" in bold tone, usually works.

Only other place I've had BMs from is Jeffries in Shipley, but I'm led to believe it's not family run anymore....?

:beerjug:

Rainbow, Rainbow or maybe Rainbow:):):) Not perfect but fairly good. the journey can be a bit of a chew but they are pretty straight..........so far.....

might try them.

Infact i might even look at buying neally new! i believe when you buy new you should be treat well, before and after the sale, especially when buying the likes of a top end bike like the BMW.
If i'm going to get treated like a second rate citizen then they're not going to get my hard earnes cash.

Well, whinge over:rob and i think neally new could be the way forward:thumb

AJ's at Shipley have been OK for me so far despite a bit of a carry on when the delivery date for my bike co-incided with the salesman going on holiday!

If you go there try and speak to one of the sales staff called Steve, he's a genuinely nice guy and looks after you. He helped smooth the above error out and recovered their reputation when I was starting to get pissed off with them!

If you've got the cash buy one private. Lots about at the moment. :thumb2

They're ok in Cooper's but you need to approach them (bit like most dealers).

If you're not keen on Coopers and don't mind the trip up A68, try the BMW dealer at Dalkeith, they're a friendly enough bunch.

I have a contact at Clark's and or Barnstormers if needed.
Nice to see you today and I must say you are looking well (at least as well as a Fat lad witha Broken nose 4 vertibra broke and several cracked ribs can look)

I didn't get mine at coopers, bought my car there though and the sales staff were ok. The bikes been there for servicing and recalls and i found them very good, especially a mechanic called Tony.

Its funny i'm the other way round when buying anything, i like to be able to potter about kick the tyres or whatever then go and find a salesman when i'm ready. I hate to feel as though i'm being hassled.

At the end of the day though, its their loss and someone else's gain.

Pleased to hear your back on your feet, accident sounded pretty nasty.

Totally agree nowt worse than feeling pressure when your havin a look around, then just give a shout when you want something .
The only thing that any salesman wants to is SELL and will bend over backwards if they think they will get sale doesnt matter who you are.:bow:bow:bow:hug

Ask for steve in sales always been good to me.:thumb2

I'll second that.

I've had a couple of 1200 GSA's from Coopers both brand new and found the service 1st class. I'm the same as bbbvito and hate being pressured when browsing but if you ask they are really helpful and don't hover round you.

I found Steve great to deal with on both my purchases.

Hope your back on 2 wheels soon. :thumb
