Harv - do a search on here.

Been a few comments about the rivetted construction but I had a close look a their stuff on their stand at the Irish Bike show and I was impressed with them.

The fitting system is certainly way better than the one used on my Touratech Zega top box...

I have it and have used BMW as well as TT.

For me it is the best available.

My detailed rambling on the subject can be found here

I just saw Julia Sanders (GlobeBusters ) Dakar on the Scottoiler stand at the Scottish Show (Macbike for those who aren't superstitious) and saw how the Metal mule pannier stood up to several drops.

The answer is a few bent bits but nothing much to look at and most importantly the panniers come off in a crash and so don't stress the bike's frame (see Long Way Round damage caused by TT panniers)

I'm very happy with mine.

I hope to visit in the next week sometime to see them "in the flesh".

I'll let you know what I find out.

Iain

I spent some time talking to the guy on the Metal Mule stand at the Scottish Motorcycle Show this weekend. The boxes look well constructed, if you don't mind external welds. The lids and locking mechanisms seem well thought out.

I was impressed by the fact that they currently offer an exhaust system for the 1150 which allows the use of equal sized boxes without spacing the near-side one farther out from the frame. If they also produce that for the 1200, I could be tempted.
