Rally Project

Thanks for the positive posts guys - will have a go at a 'build report' next week!

Just to answer a few questions in the meantime, yes, mono arm is a TAG item, lovely bit of kit but £££!

Engine bars and stands from BMW Boxer Supplies in Holland - good guys to deal with. Very strong kit and all stainless.

Complete exhaust is Siebenrock including the collector. http://www.siebenrock.com/en/

The headlight is indeed a Trailtech item but with a PIAA H4 rally lamp unit fitted to give dip and main - done for the MOT's. Great light though!

Keep your eyes open for the report....;)

Cheers, Rick.

Your bike looks amazing Rick! Looking forward to the report :thumb2

Don't think I posted mine in here yet:

currently away with scottish member voyageur getting the gearbox rebuilt,
she looks rough but shes a good old work horse

this has been mine from the middle of last year,

replaced the headlight with a UK one, fixed a couple of things,

now looks like this,

there is an issue in that when it was first registered in the UK, it was declared as manufactured in June 1986 by the BMW club, and registered on a "C" plate,

but it was actually manufactured in June 1981,

I am currently in discussion with DVLA over this! :thumb

Discussions are over, it's now on a W plate and registered as a 1981 model!

This is mine....recently replaced the knackered old rear shock and upgraded the front springs to Hyper pro progressives.....much happy with the improvement.

Is there a story behind it ? Did you build it ? What was the start bike?
