One thing I have discovered, made useful by the devices quicker processor is its speed to display alternative routes.
Fiddling about here in central London, I asked it to take me to a cafe near Boulogne. The device calculated and displayed a suggested route quickly, very nicely presented in a segmented fashion with a map on one side and basic data on the other.
I then noticed that it had a small option to display an alternative route and another, each to some degree different to the last. I also noticed that you could expand, contract the map segment, enabling you to see where the suggested route(s) took you.
You could then scroll between the three alternative suggestions, until you found the one that suited you best. Then just select it and away you go.
