You should have waited for the 2015 model, as mine has none of those issues, and is bloody brilliant.:beerjug: If Wapping was still here, I'd have said awesome!:P

The same stuff was said about the original 1200 by the 1150 owners - it's just what the owners of the previous models always say about the new models - I am sure the 1100 owners said the same when the 1150 was launched - and I am sure that when the next generation of GS is launched a good number of the current LC owners will say that the new one is not as good as the old one, and so it will continue.

I have had all three versions of the 1200GS starting with the first in 2005 and I would not replace my LC with anyone of the earlier models, as good as they were in their day.

I love a lively debate!

Interesting comments from all.....truth be told a late TC is about what my budget will stretch to and even then I am struggling to justify the expense however much I have falling in love with the idea. What has made it worse is looking at the photos of the Alps trip posted on the forum...now I really want one and to do the same trip. :)

Nutty Gser is that a Schuberth S2 helmet you've got there. If so how do you like it.

I would try a late Oil cooled version against the LC, both very different and both really nice. I prefer the oil cooled over the WC which to me seems too light weight against the oil cooled but everyone will have their own preference. Welcome to the site, you wont be dissappointed which ever of the two you choose.

I have just changed from an ivanised FZS1000 and as much as i adored my Fazer, and it sold 2 days before xams  i love my gs just that little bit more, certainly would have kept it if money wasnt an object , but hey no regrets really you will love it :thumb2

Blue is the slow color!

Jim

Even with the shitty gearbox and leaking water out the engine it deffo was not slow :) i kind of miss the WC, i will be back one day, but they need to up there game, maybe 3rd time lucky !

BMW said one of the reasons they now discontinued the blue colour was because its too fast for the pensioners :)

Good choice on buying the Hex TC. This model is still an excellent GS which will give you many miles of smiles...
