Pro Gear Assist for 2014 GS

Be interested to no if its better than the translogic QS i have fitted. I also wonder what rpm it will activate because the gs does not like to shift to low down with a shifter. So I'd presume the bm kit will only allow activation after a set rpm !

I've been discussing the updated frame today ....

What did they say?

The same frame is used on the new RT and was told its something to do with the RT, so its changes will be seen on every bike that shares the same frame.

He was unsure what the changes were, I'd presume more to do with one frame can do em all and save manufacturing cost of individual frames.

I gave the updated bike a good look over today, side by side with a non updated bike and i could not see any difference, so must be very marginal, probably mm.

I'm sure the updates will still continue ! I'd be very surprised if the GSA or RT is a problem free bike.

inmates,

was at the dealer today for the GS's first service. They had both "versions" on the floor for sale , many units (ie , the one's without the BMW emblem on the tail piece , and the one's with).

asked what is the difference between the two and they said that differences are cosmetic (ie, the tail piece , white spring , etc).

not too sure what to make of that , but hey ...

my GS is super duper good after getting her new oil in !!

.

FS ? do you mean Quick Shifter and if so is it an available option on the new GSA ?

Can you please post a link to the brochure as my dealer does not think it is an option.
Thanks

+1 Big Derek may have started an avalanche of 'I want one of those' re thinks. FWIW, my dealer did not mention a quick shifter as an available option.

Before spending £500, I'd want to see if was any good first, trying a demo with it........ before blindly getting one

£500, you can have 2 weeks touring abroad instead for that

I'm picking up tips from the ABR Forum

Calais ferry, middle of night

Wild camping and DIY cooking

Those lads, seem to manage on a mere £500 for 2 weeks all in

Watching their tips with interest:D
