SP111 Route Upload

I am new to all this GPS stuff so please bear with me....!!!

I have just picked up an SP111 which appears to be working fine except that
I can't seem to be able to upload a route.

I'm running Europe V6 and can transfer the map sets no problem via the usb data card hub. When I transfer to device I click the tabs for Maps, way points and routes and the data says its transferred but when I try to acces the route in the GPS its not there...but the map sets are.

This is currently doing my head in so if anyone can suggest what I'm doing wrong that would be greatly appreciated...

USB lead loads maps.

Serial lead loads routes and waypoints. And maps very, very slowly.

I think I sussed that the moment I pressed the 'Submit Post' tab!!!!!

I need to find a PC in the house with a serial port now as this one hasn't got one...

I think my laptop at work has one...do you know if will I be able to have the software loaded on 2 machines at the same time (unlock codes etc)????

You can buy adapters that allow the serial lead to use a USB port. Something like: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....540757&tGUID=0eb598041180a0b469859ec5ffc97091

Don't think many laptops have a serial port, bound to be proved wrong.

Shouldn't be any problem having your maps on any number of machines AFAIK.
