Afternoon

yes Greg Masters, i have surfaced again, i trust you are well?

Anyway, some Schmuck nicked my 2014 GS the other night from outside the house, so thought i should tell the world about it..... So Black & Silver 2014 GS TE RJ14 ODE, literally lifted from the front garden and assumedly into a van........and per the boys in blue, it will now be in a container heading for eastern europe or somewhere that supports stolen to order......... their words not mine....

Not too fussed about the bike it is all the hassle and cost that goes with it.

Am really interested in physical security used by others so i can get the right kit. i think i have decided on a Almax chain and lock but am looking for guidance on a ground anchor. i know the almax is bomb proof but also big and doesn't always fit into some anchors. i want a concrete into the ground type but it will need to work with an Almax and wondered if anyone has any ideas or experience? like the look of an oxford terraforce or similar and wondered who is doing or using what?

the bits i am looking at are one of the following but am open to ideas:

thanks in advance and really look forward to hearing back and is this the best section to post this in ?

I use an almax, I'm guessing that with the references to the anchor you are referring to security when at home. The almax chain is simply too heavy to carry with you.

The almax videos are worth a watch if you haven't seen them. Watching Thatcham gold rated fail in seconds is sobering.

thanks, it is for home security, but there seems to be an issue with the almax fitting through the loop on some ground anchors............

Bastards. Is the bike near the house? I have a client that had similar problems and he recommended using a baby monitor, along with a decent anchor/chain.

morning, thanks for all the guidance and i think i am sorted as to what i am going to use on the next two wheeler. what i am looking for is any feedback from those who have used a 19mm Pragmasis chain and their http://securityforbikes.com/torc-ground-anchor-fitting-kits.php#concretein concrete-in kit set in fresh concrete. i am thinking of two of these one to use with their anti pinch pin and chain (through teh rear axle) with the other anchor on a long chain round the bike over the seat.

what does anyone think of http://www.biketrac.co.uk/

any thoughts much appreciated

If someone prepared to use a battery angle grinder, nothing will last very long. It just takes a bit longer.
