Hard to beat the station house if its a hotel you're after.
Superb quality and they'll always do a deal after a bit of haggling. Gang of us have stayed there every year for our annual trip up the west coast and its always been excellent.

Give this place a call, its a few miles outside Clifden, but top notch. I have stayed here many times, never disappointed.

Looks great Omen, but a bit more up-market than I had in mind really. Nice for a romantic weekend or some such I'd say, but - in this instance - all I'm looking for is a place to crash for the night and a good big brekkie.

It was a coupla years ago when me wrong way an ballistic stopped there..
I'll have to have a look for the B&B though...
EDIT: It was a ways up the hill but the feller gave us a lift into town, it was called "Dun Aengus House", the breakfasts were good.
We found it through the tourist board, can't find it by searching
