Me and my good lady wife are getting off the Troon ferry on Friday morning at 9am. I assume we would have no problem making the Isle of Skye by teatime. If so are there any B&Bs near a local pub/hostelry that would be recommended
Stay in a wee Crofters lodge, on the edge of the seashore, burning peat to keep warm and cook some ferral meat, all the while singing scottish ditties while wearing a Tam "O" shanter and a knitted hairy jumper.
What more could you ask for. Apart from civilisation.
I've personally stayed at the Urquhart Caledonian Hotel in Portree - it's a fine hotel where the landlady (who's very knowledgeble on F1 GP racing!) is very welcoming of bikers.

Alternatively, there's the Cuillin Hills Hotel, also in Portree (stayed here too) - top dollar, but very nice. Perhaps more welcoming of your money than you as a biker.

Came over from Lochmaddy on a Thursday night and stayed there. Forced to go to bed at 03:30 due to bar owner switching off the lights (no mine ).
Three young lads had a set o' pipes an accordian and fiddle and did us proud, a distillery did the rest
