Honestly I wish you’d change the record. :blagblah

Arsecrack. :D

I was simply replying to Boxerbollocks saying we all like different things. No record to change. So bugger off and check your spokes aren't loose.

The rwhp numbers can bevalidaded at europes biggest motorcycle magazine MOTORRAD/PS and not some shop manipulating the dyno and selling you stock hp after their upgrade...end of story !
FACTS not believe...
On the same dyno in Stuttgart where a R9T made 112 hp a E3 R1200GS made 126 hp,a 1290 ADV made 152 hp,a E4 S1000XR made 170 hp and a E3 S1000RR made 212 hp at the crank...!
Factor in less than 10% loss and you got real rwhp numbers...
An HP4Race made 212 at the rear wheel on some dyno here...biggest number ever on a stock bike...even more than a supercharged H2 Kawasaki that has the same displacement...:thumby:

I think it must it must be the American correction factor. 1 English gallon = 1.2 us gal / 1 billion in England used to be 1 million x 1million / England size 16 Us size 14.
Therefore England 100hp US 120hp.
This is a fact because I have just typed it.

Yep always bigger in the USA except for the feet............:D

To all you clueless BMW haters...I talk about dynos that run DIN numbers the once you also use in England.Nothing SAE...
And yes a BMW boxer driveshaft due to it's unique crank position saps less power than a chain unless a driveshaft on a "Super" Tenere or FJR 1300 for example that has to run another gearing because of the 90 degree transformation angle.Educate yourself you nutless arsecracks before boosting your clue-less wisdom...:D
At least you make me laugh especially if you use the term Honda and quality in one word.
Those days are LONG GONE !
No wonder Arsey is jealous since his brother let him ride his Rally...:bounce1
I'd rather ride my dreadful beemers...than a BOOORING Afreekatween:thumby:
Have fun especially when you have a flat...your brother will be long gone when you finally have your tune changed on your Japanese marvel...:D
I had already tubeless spokes in 1987 on my then new R100GS !

Africa Twin is an OK bike but its off-road bias, i.e. long travel pogo suspension, big skinny front wheel, lower torque and power make it less good as a road bike, especially for long distance fully loaded two touring - horses for courses innit? :)

On the same dyno my R1100S made 87 rwhp

In standard trim that is correct. Ballpark figure for the 11S. This has been confirmed by members of Boxertrix and Pelican forum. So here in the UK and in the states. BTW a correctly adjusted and maintained chain is the most efficient method of delivering drive. Sorry.

.......I dunno what the importers are like in the colonies but it's well known and accepted here that a bike given to a magazine for testing has, shall we say, an 'optimised' ECU.

Andres

My GSA was optimised by erm..... the BMW dealer. No wonder it made fuck-all power above 7500 rpm and had a real step in power at about 4k.

tanneman on a bike like a BMW boxer with straight crankschaft-driveshaft the shaftdrive has less parasitic losses than a chain !
On a 2,3,5,6 cylinder with horizontal crankshaft where you need another 90 degree gearbox a chain saps less power than driveshaft because it does not need this additional gearbox !
And yes the AfreekaTween is probably a great bike in Africa (as long as you don't have a flat) but in Europe or America less so because where can you really still ride off road legally ?
And if so a bike with 250KG wet weight is way too heavy anyways to have fun riding off road.
So in the end it is nothing more than a stupid image or dream like all those other useless SUV's wasting fuel while the GS is a superb street bike :thumb2

Please back your claim up with a detailed explanation using graphs and maths so I can understand what you are saying. In all my life I have not heard or read any technical claim that a shaft drive is more efficient than a chain.

I’d rather have a spoke loose than a screw loose. :P

Are you enjoying your Rallye......

I’m lovin it. Best GS I’ve had and I’ve had a few but I’m realistic enough to know some have had genuine issues but I can honestly say I’ve never had a problem with any of mine.

So far. :thumb2

Horizontal crankshaft :nenau not seen too many motors with vertical crankshafts, except when bikes decide to take the occasional nap as they sometimes do:augie
You really do sound like the showroom salesman who knows less than the customers buying the bikes, a little knowledge really can be a dangerous thing sometimes.

And then you finish with a line filed with so much irony given how many modern GS's are taken off-road that I begin to understand your way of thinking :blast

Cool as my 2017 Exclusive is probably the best bike I have ever had for touring, and just pure enjoyment......:hippy

Hardly got started yet - wait until we see some spy shots of the new bike to get Boxerlust really excited ;)

But the best so far has to be Through previous employment I gained mobile covert surveillance and pursuit qualifications WTF . I will find you . ! Brill.
Loving it all keeping me amused on twelve hour night shift
Incidently have I missed it or has anyone speculated on how much this new BMW 1250 is likely to cost ?

That made I larf, covert posting on forums, highly trained then, but so covert has no idea what the bike will be like. :D

So we’re clueless, yet you think a chain loses more power at the rear wheel than a shaft? :blast

You’re either incredibly thick, or on a proper wind up mission. My money is on the former.
