5ft 6in on a good day with a 29 inch inside leg riding a 1200 GSA with a Kahedo low seat fitted
I was stationary at the time. When I realised it was going I just slowly laid the beast down, so no damage done.
I recently trailed round some local BMW dealers looking at both 800 & 1200GS models. All three dealers took one look at my height 5'8" and 29" leg and said no way. I asked about trying a low seat and they weren't interested. Really put me off trying to get a GS and I ended up getting another bike instead (with 810mm seat height).
Yes, it would have been my first bike but even so, they just were not helpful in any way.
I still would like to gt a GS at some point, hence the fact I'm still on this site. Maybe one day![]()
hi all,im new to this gs thing, at the moment ive got a pan european 1300 that im considering trading in for a 1200 gs but ive only got 29" inside legs, is this bike too tall for me ? and will the other half be ok, she will be sitting higher up on the pillion than the pan .

and 28.8" inside leg
and I struggle to get my leg over Geriatric Germ
when he is flat on his back

Should not be a probem I have a 29" inside leg and ride a 1200GSA, you do have to look where you park it or which side to put your foot down but its no real problem. The GS is lower

OK 29" inside leg on a 1200GS, I find the BMW low seat perfect for giving that little bit of extra confidence or one of the aftermarket seats. I will be selling my BMW low seat (as new condition) soon so let me know if you are interested. The pillion will love the seating position and better view on the GS.[/QU
would you know what seat will reduce the height on a gsa and by how much
