Local dealer has a GSA with just over 2k miles on it for sale. Bike is spot on.
Only trouble is the engine is pending replacement due to a corrosion issue.
Had the dealer not pointed out the hairline corrosion to me I wouldn’t have even noticed (and I’m fussy).
So if I go for it, it’ll be a brand new engine on a 2k mile bike. Engine will need running in. The standard remaining warranty will apply. The engine change will obviously show in the bikes history.
It’s fairly priced, but I was just wondering if there’s some sort stigma attached to this that would discourage future potential buyers when I come to trade in.
Anyone else been in this position or heard of similar situations.
I guess the only other playing on my mind is swapping engine isn’t without its challenges and you’re unsettling everything else in the process.
Thoughts (such as walk away, etc) appreciated. I’m undecided.
