The bush will not stand a heavy interference fit, especially with the relatively large hole in the side of it.
I think I ended up about .02 under the nominal diameter of the bush.
When you are getting close, try to insert the bush slightly and see how it feels - easy does it once you are getting close.
The surface roughness of the machining will be a factor too, the cover is soft so can be honed out slightly if needs be.
The bush I used was a split type, so that had an effect on the fit too.
this gave a nice snug fit, plastic mallet to fit it and it's not going to fall out.
