I had a bike stolen twice many moons ago. Terrible feeling and you really want to harm the scrotes who do this. But I’d rather have never seen it again and that goes for any current bike.
never saw it again ...til one day ,10 years later , a bloke came into spares dept , on a shit box thing , i just span the rear wheel around ....and it was my rr wheel ! 3 of us in the shop ...we didn't know him . we knew most Guzzi owners for 100 mile radius ....but not him.
Had a letter a couple of weeks ago from the police to say it’s been recovered in Leeds. Because the insurance has paid out ages ago it was to be picked up by Copart Auctions and put on sale. They had it up as a cat N damaged repairable saying it was damage from vandalism. From the pictures it looked mostly there (sadly the panniers and rack were missing) with minor things like indicators, tool kit and cover and the ignition switch missing. Luckily I have all/most parts in the garage as I still have my old 1100 which was written off. I won the auction with a bid of £375 plus fees and delivery taking it to £655.
