Ye'll have a hard joab dein an overlander frae Girvan to Norway ya spanner..

Take the ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam and drive to Denmark from there, mind and stop in the Square in Esbjerg for a pint of good local ale in Droning Louise......

Hae a wee look at the Danish east coast on yer way to to the ferry over to Norway- it'll be your last chance of having a beer at non eye watering prices..

BTW , loads of good camping in the land of Lego and bacon.

Aye, ah wiz gonnae gaun up tae the Nordkapp an'aw but wi nae ferry tae Norway it's gonna be a lang haul up fae Holland! Mind a widnae mind hae'n a crack wi thon bird oot o the Killin(she's got a fair bonnie gernsey ye ken)

If a didnae gaun north a'd hae tae gaun soothe tae the Ardenne or even the Black Forest.....Maybe even doon tae Cape Trafalgar.

If that didna work oot ah could aye gaun up tae Cape Wrath............An Shetland's aye a pirie place tae hae a spree wi oot the dorts!

FP.:thumb

I'm going to tour the western isles on the bike next year as well as a trip to France, Scotland will be my patch, so much still to see!! :beerjug:

Whit lingo is that? Ah dinnae unerston a wurd o' it ye ken!

Ah think it's Seffrican, innit....? :D

I'm swithering about taking up an invitation to join friends from San Jose to join them on their annual St Patrick's Day trip to Death Valley in the middle of March.

I'm thinking about offering our annexe for rent on a self-catering basis to touring motorcyclists and possibly gowfers (ugh...:blast)

I'm also thinking about the possibility (you can tell how definite this one is...) of hosting a small Howe of Fife weekend for folks who might like to come and ride some of Fife's and Perth and Tayside's lesser known byeways.

That's it so far - this moving house lark is fiendishly expensive. :rob

I'm not planning on working much after May next year so will have to take a few wee trips cos mah puir wee bikie only clocked 4000 miles last year- a pathetic performance.

This is awe guid stuff, t inmates are nae deid effter aw, (which is quite re assuring :D) And it seems we are, in spite of the doom and gloom being dumped on us by t gubberment n t press , quite prepared to go on doing what we like (and can afford) to do. Good men (n mibbies ladies) yersells!!!!:beerjug:

Get own the boat! Ye'll no have tae go tae engerland:cool: ( Geordie land isnae engerland)

Instead of hacking doon the shitie motorways ye can sit having a civilised meal on the boat and a wee drink and end up n Holland instead of Frunce. The wine isnae as good in Holland but the Dutch do better beer and yer closer to Norway.

Think I may travel to Enster via San Monanz, Kinneuchar then up to San Andres, roond by Balmerino.
Then back furmatea.
